There is no doubt that this type of GZ34 "METAL RING BASE" is now a "CULT" for all lovers and enthusiasts of Vintage Valves, in particular, for those for AUDIO use, in the power supply sections of amplifiers as it is. it has always been used in the history of audio amplification, from Williamson, Leak, Quad to Mullard circuits and many others. This VERY RARE GZ34 PHILIPS "METAL RING" BASE coded rS1 54L is a Primordial version, original made in Eindhoven, Holland in 1954 (the second version produced, the first cod. RSB). The valve is used and in spite its admirable age of 88 years (!!), it is still in excellent condition and despite the blackening of the flash-top and some other signs of life, the GZ34 is electrically fully functional with FULL force and emission over 100%. Structurally typical RARE construction with smooth cross plates strongly welded, double D-D-getter. In the opinion of many, the use of this tube can greatly change the sound of your amplifier; it is not for nothing that Kondo preferred it and used it in the legendary ONGAKU and KAGURA amplifiers.
