2A3 FIVRE CV1831 5930 VT-95 VALVE LEGENDARY SINGLE PLATE MONOPLATE DHT ULTIMATE AUDIO POWER OUTPUT TRIODE - TEST 40 mA - 76% OK

Extremely RARE nowadays, this is a legendary example of direct heated TRIODE (DHT) 2A3 FIVRE SINGLE PLATE "flat and ribbed"; in general opinion, considered the most linear and best sounding Triode EVER produced! As everyone knows, the design of the 2A3 power amp is American, produced by the historic RCA but, undoubtedly, FIVRE was able to create a tube that surpassed its parent! This example is the 2st version, a 2A3 Monoplate used still in excellent electrical condition albeit at 76% emission. Physically the valve shows its age and the bulb is welded to the base slightly inclined (as shown in the photo) while the large plate is perfectly in the center of the bulb. The performance of this tube is well known, extremely harmonious, sweet and engaging, as well as full-bodied and impactful bass when the recording allows it. Low power applied to high sensitivity speakers, within a quality circuit, will give you UNIQUE sensations! Despite being over ninety years old, all the filaments are bright and evenly lit.
