In about 80-90 years, the production of thermionic tubes has been nothing short of "exterminated" and it is exciting to be faced with a RARITY! The direct heated DHT TRIODE tube 602, produced by VISSEAUX genuinely made in France, roughly datable to 1940-50, is a spectacular valve structurally and almost completely aesthetically identical to the hyper-famous 2A3 Triode version of the so-called "BI-plate" although these are approximately 5 mm shorter and the 602 filament is N-shaped unlike the typical W of the 2A3. The build quality is admirable and dazzling, typical for VISSEAUX in this production and in general very high quality. Then there are the main technical design differences that distinguish it from the 2A3, the base is a European B4 unlike the classic US UX4 and the filament ignition voltage is 4 Volts (other technical data follows below). Even rarer original Visseaux data-sheets but the 602 for its application data and for its behavior in the characteristics is to be considered an "equivalent" of the ultra famous E406 PHILIPS MINIWATT TRIODE and therefore as such it can and has been tested by obtaining the measures. This is a SUPER RARE QUARTET of 602 VISSEAUX re-boxed so they are to be considered used if even the TESTS taken are "like new" between 95 and over 100% (in photos from S. to D. : T1 -- -> T4). The aesthetic conditions are excellent, BLACK plates between glossy and matte, very lightly hammered, triple grooved, perfectly built, soldered and fixed on robust micas with high quality copper fixings. Same thing for the filament suspension spring holders. Finally huge "inverted cup plate" for the getter. Also note that two pipes feature the Visseaux branding inlaid into the base.
