THERMOIONIC VALVES or ELECTRONIC or VACUUM TUBE PENTODE TRIODE

The VALVE , Electronic Vacuum Tube or Thermoionic is an “ active electronic ” component with two or more electrodes inside a glass or metal enclosure in which the high vacuum has been created. The first invented device of this kind is John Ambrose Fleming's Diode, it was in the year 1904. In the diode there were two electrodes, the first (cathode) is electrically heated and emits electrons, the second (anode) receives electrons; in this way the electric current flows in only one direction. Subsequently a third electrode (grid) was introduced and so, the electronic tube, thanks to an external source of energy, outputs an amplified signal, the TRIODE was born! ... the Father of all tubes.
